50 Portraits Before Graduation

A graduation-season documentary recording a student photography team as they capture portraits of 50 graduates. Through five selected stories—from friendships forged in practical projects to after-school animal rescue, self-rebuilding, and returning home—the film presents a collective portrait of a generation and the complex emotions surrounding graduation.
Make a Wish Before Graduation

A graduation-season documentary following a student team’s “Youth Frame-Filling Project,” in which they listen to graduates’ unfulfilled wishes and help redeem their regrets. Through family bonds, passion, and friendship, the film presents the genuine youthful regrets and self-healing of contemporary graduates.

An observational documentary short that takes Minnan dialect as an auditory thread, connecting shared living memories of Quanzhou and Kinmen through old streets, temple-side breakfast stalls, and night markets. It records local oral accounts of kinship and cultural continuity.
Yango University: We Livestreamed for 700 Dogs

A documentary short following a student team as they build a livestream channel for a local animal rescue center, helping draw public attention to more than 700 stray animals. The livestream attracted 600+ viewers and more than 10,000 likes.

A documentary work centered on emotional ties across the strait, using Minnan soundscapes and fragments of Taipei memory to construct a narrative space of nostalgia. It asks how “slow content” can survive in an algorithmic environment.
I Am Willing

A narrative short centered on breaking prejudice, weaving first-person inner monologue with third-person perspective through three parallel stories. It follows young professionals, high-school students, and university students from misunderstanding to understanding.
AI-Assisted Short Film
Bitter Melon
Duration: 2 min 57 sec · Role: Director, Screenwriter, Post-Production
An experimental short film fully generated by AI, using a little girl forced to eat bitter melon as a metaphor for the East Asian disciplinary notion that “one becomes sensible only through suffering.” The project led me to examine authorship, subjectivity, and the ethics of AI-generated suffering narratives.

Xiuyang Village Rural Picture Book

A rural picture book created through fieldwork in Xiuyang Village, Minqing County. I led the collection of oral histories and local-sage narratives, then used AI image generation and digital storytelling to produce the village’s first rural-themed picture book and support its physical exhibition.
